The revelations in DL for two of the major characters -- were the actors aware
of the "hidden" aspects of their personalities all along, or did you hold that
back until DL was scripted?

And thanks for creating wonderful characters that we come to
know and love and care about -- and then doing terrible things to them.  God,
I love that.

     I try avoiding telling the actors anything more than what is needed
for each episode as it comes, otherwise you risk them subconsciously
playing the result rather than the process.
