My Housmates and I (who are al1 addicted to B5 were wondering about the boarding scene when Gariba1di and his forces suddenly mooved away from their positions. It seemed to cost them a tactical advantage when the boarding party came in. Any ideas as to why the moved away? I've watched this episode three times now (once imediately after it showed on tv) and I haven't been able to figure it out.
Thanks!

(* Spoilers for unknown *)
A MAJORITY of the council walked out. While the council
may not be a majority rules kind of thing, you would think
that there was no need to break the council.
Any clues?

Garibaldi wanted to hold up, cut off the boarding party at a bottleneck,
but the Narns, *being* Narns, raced right into the battle. At that point
Garibaldi had to follow them in or let them get wiped out for no good
reason.
