Joe,
Since I know you eschew formulaic writing, I thought I'd ask you about the
seemingly universal practice of interweaving A and B stories practically
scene
by scene.
As it is the exception that makes you notice the rule, it was an episode of
"St.
Elsewhere" that made me notice this practice. In it, there were three
distinct
stories, presented as one act plays (except for the third story, which was a
two-act).
This was a wonderful, extremely memorable episode. Have you ever written, or
considered writing, an hour of television that way?
