There is only *one* thing about all of this that has always
bothered me. Garibaldi *knew* about the assasination *before* EF1
blew up. B5 was trying for about 15 minutes to get a msg to EF1
(Ivanova *knew* how long it had been since the jamming started).
Everyone knows that Garibaldi got shot by Jack *just as he
discovered the plot*.
The whole damn C&C was *there* as Ivanova tried desperatly to
warn EF1 of an impending assasination and then watched in horror
as EF1 blew up...and then it just *went away*...
Why are these officers not *screaming* to *everyone they know*
that they *KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN*!?!?
I remember that obtuse and irritating Senator (co-conspirator?)
who ordered Sheridan to shut up, but I can't see how that would
have shut this all down. Is Sheridan/Sinclair's report what cause
General Hague to become suspicious? Am I simply wrong, and this
Conspiracy of Light is simply the reaction I am asking for?

With Clark removing all the evidence, and others giving orders to
drop it, and knowing Clark would stop any kind of investigation, what
is there for them to do officially? They had to begin working covertly
to prove it, which is what they've been doing ever since "Hunter,
Prey." If you're a military officer, and you're given a direct order
from your commander in chief or the Senate Oversight Committee to drop
something, and you violate those orders, you're up on charges or fired.

Just saw VOA.
Loved it.
I take it that the 'mask' as an 'encounter suit'?
Seemed like some good 'gestures' with the head when the term
'Vorlon' came up. I hope we can read something into the 'body
english'
Good work!

It's certainly a form of representation, an icon, rather than the
literal entity, yes.

How weird! Is that supposed to serve some practical purpose for
the union members?

Yes. For instance, you're a star, and you say, "I want my name
to appear before the title." So the next star says "Well, then I want
mine right after the title." Editors' credits have to go in a specific
place in relation to the title. And so on. It's to help avoid
problems of dumping people's credits where they won't be seen.

Disclaimer: the opinions expressed in this posting are a personal

(Now that having been said...)
I don't know about anyone else out there but I loved this
episode. I don't know if I'd call this one of B-5's greatest or
anything like that, but it was definitely one of the most pivotal.
As far as the show was concerned, I loved it.
However, I loved it for reasons which are a little
different than most people's. One of the things I loved was the
Musante MINIPAX woman. I see people like her *everyday* at my
place of work. She's not un-intelligent, she just doesn't know any
better. She's one of those "YES!" people whose minds are mushy
sponges ready to absorb any idea which is popular at the time
simply because it *seems* like the right thing to do. Politicians
love these souls because they'll say "YES!" to anything that
they're told, simply because they were told to do so. No other
reason is necessary, after all, how could the boss be wrong? Well
let me tell you, politicians aren't the only ones who'll recruit
these individuals. I work for a particularly well known mouse who
happens to have a lot of money, and also happens to the world's
largest entertainment company. They own EVERYTHING: movie studios,
television, cable, amusement parks, hotels, recording studios, and
recently just purchased (sort of) ABC studios. For those of you
who haven't yet figured it out, yes, I'm talking about Walt Disney
World.
Don't get me wrong, I like Disney. Heck, my financial
well being depends on it. Unfortunately I've seen some changes
lately which really bug the heck out of me. Like Ms. Musante
(spelled right?). She is *exactly* like the type of individual
that my company is now using to promote into their management
program: amicable (in public), always knowing the politically
correct (or recently redefined) word for the right occasion,
spongy mush-like brains, and ignorant to what's really going on
behind the scenes. That's not to say that some good deserving
individuals don't accidentally get promoted along with the
mindless masses, I'm just saying that they're a small minority,
and that most of the new managers are easy to mold. They are
what I call "YES!" people. From what I've seen lately, if you've
been with this company longer than 2 years, it will be very
difficult to get into management, because by that time you will
probably *know* too much about the *truth* and will be a little
too free thinking of an individual to mold to their tastes. Funny
thing is that at one point they actually thought that you should
be around 3 or 4 years to have a clue. I'm telling you, the
Nightwatch is hard at work here in Disneylon 5. It frightens me!
The other thing that I loved about this show was all the
doublespeak. I'm sure JMS has read Orwell's 1984, not to mention
his fair share of political speeches. What I am unsure of is
whether or not he's familiar about the terminology that Disney
likes to use. For those of you unfamiliar, let me fill you in:
...we don't have "customers", we have "guests"
...we don't have "employees", we have "cast members"
...we definitely don't have "customers that are pissed
off", we have "inconvenienced guests"
...and when they are inconvenienced, we don't "buy them
off to keep them from blabbing to their friends back home about
the poor service", we "compensate them" (free tickets, food,
logding, you name it)
I think you get the idea. While watching this episode I
kept thinking "My God. I live through this everyday!"
And back to Ms. Musante: she's not evil, she's just doing
the only thing she knows how to do for the lack of knowing any
better. I guess that someone got a hold of her spongy mush-like
brain and began to do some serious sculpting.
Oh well, I said what was on my mind. Thoughts and
opinions welcome!

Yep, sounds about right.
There's a reason most folks who've been involved refer to the
company as Mouschwitz.

Hi,
Well Done! Is the nightwatch going to start "cleansing"
the lurkers from B5? Is the book of G'Quon going to be the
teachers edition with all of the answers for the shadow war? You
have my vote for G'kar for Ranger 2260.
