interest in that.<<

Interesting that it takes an athiest to portray "religion" in a positive light.

Just a few quick notes that may help in the future, and please check out this
advice first:

1) In the \dos directory type the following commands:
attrib *.com +r
attrib *.exe +r

2) In the \windows and \windows\system directory type the following commands
attrib *.exe +r
attrib *.dll +r

Before you upgrade your version of DOS or WINDOWS you will need to change the
command to a "-r".

attrib *.exe -r

What this does is set the files to be read-only. A clever virus or trojan
hoarse might get past this (most virus code will, however many trojan hoarse
programs will not). This will also help if ,for example, you are in the Windows
file manager program and accidently try and delete a program. Because you were
able to get at the files with "undelete" I would say that this was a primative
one. This trick will also work on any other files that do not need to change
often.

If you want to get a picture of what files are in the directory for future
reference you perform the following steps:

1) Place a blank, formatted floppy disk in your A: drive.
2) CD to the directory you wish to take a picture of.
3) Enter the following command:

 DIR *.* > A:DOSDIR.TXT

Change "DOSDIR" to reflect the directory you want to take a picture of. This
will produce a file that contains the names and information about all files in
the directory.

I hope this helps.

Well, it would seem I somewhat got your attention with my last message, therein
lies the problem...
You see, it was not aimed at you, in fact, I assumed you wouldnt even see
it, in fact, your passionate response has forced me into a confession, It was a
prank, a jolly jape, a wizard wheeze, a Death of Marcus Cole as it were!! Let
me elucidate.....

I once tried to quote a letter re. so called 'problems' with B5, but it got
stamped on for fear of copyright problems. You probably dont know me from
Adam, (who speaks highly of you by the way <g>), but I have made several posts
to you in the past year, always praising your show and your talents for making
us all think, as well as confounding us, on many an occasion, you have graced
me with excellent replies.

I am not fanatical about anything, (well.. maybe the opposite sex), but I am
very passionate about your show, indeed, it was only the fact that you took
such offence that has forced this confession from me, a fact which provided
great amusement to my wife by the way <g>. I effectively took all the letters
damning Babylon 5 and extracted the gist of each one, the general error they
brought up, by not quoting each I hoped to avoid losing the message to
copyright infringements. Personally, I have been paying attention, (much good
it does me - you devious person you), though it was obvious that these people
were not! As for not knowing were you are going, who does, if I did, Oh the
power I could wield <bg>.

The problem obviously was I way too subtle, I couldnt say it was a wind up, but
references to needing something to talk about, and aiming a comment at specific
people was as close as I could get without saying it outright. You see, there
are about 15 to 30 of us Babylonians who hang out at the Zolaco on Sundays at
7.00 after B5 has finished, (we resort to tapes in lieu of TV <g>), I figured I
could wind a couple of them up and get something going there. What I never
anticipated was the Great Maker replying, I guess it shows you should never
leave a loaded weapon lying around, who knows wholl pick it up.

So sincere apologies if my message got to you, seems I owe you a virtual beer
or two, in fact, if you can wait till Wolf at Blackpool next year, I can buy
you a real one!

Rest assured, *this* B5 watcher has nothing but admiration for your work and
cant wait for next season, (hope we get it before Blackpool, knowing UK-TV,
probably not!). <fx: wife laughing herself silly in background>

Okay, got it, thanks for the clarification.
