Hello,
I'm asking you this because it is of importance to many B5 fans, in
some cases in terms of their ability to view the broadcasts at all.
The DiSH Network has *tentatively* announced plans to add WWOR and
WSBK to the channels carried on their nationwide DBS service, and of
course, both of these stations show B5. (A satellite store owner
writes: "I received a fax a while back [from the DiSH Network) that
said WOR and WSBK(Boston) would be added."
However, greened at eecs.umich.edu (David Greene) comments elsewhere in
this newsgroup:
>Again, I don't _think_ the DSS systems could broacast Voyager or B5, because
>the local stations paid for the exclusive rights (or have network
>affiliations guaranteeing exclusive rights) to broadcast these shows.
>Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (but don't call in the Bat Squad).
Do you know what is correct here - or if not, can you contact the B5
legal eagles?
Since DiSH Network satellite systems have now dropped to $199.95
(they're giving away the hardware to get you to subscribe to the
software), I think that MANY B5 fans, ESPECIALLY those in areas where
B5 was cancelled, would be interested in receiving B5 over DBS.
Thanks,
Ken <*>

Syndicated shows can't be/aren't available on dishes of either sort; since
B5 is syndicated, that leaves us right out.
