Joe, the Net is relatively new to the world at large, and the Web even
newer. Based on this premise, and the legendary inflexibility of Hollywood
brass, have you gotten a sense as to the reaction of Warner Bros to
realtime comments, suggestions and general support by the fans
on the Internet?
Letters are one thing, but it takes time to pop some of them into a
database or spreadsheet - and this is presuming someone actually does
this. It is far easier to write some programming code to read all
newsgroups that mention B5, and take excerpts, or the whole letter,
depending on the search criteria.
In your perception, will the Internet make a difference in the longevity
and ultimate viability of a television program, and is any of the
newsgroup stuff looked at by WB?
Regards,
Vince

I think the studios are gradually coming to perceive the importance of the
nets, but their perception is probably 10 years behind the reality.
