I know Gerald and I have quite...forceful personalities but I didn't realise we
looked *quite* so multi-faceted on monitor...<g>
(FWIW I agree with Ruths comments, the format of the post could have been a lot
better).

Re: my "everybody" comment...y'gotta understand, my posts here get
reposted/forwarded to at least 2-3 mailing lists, the Internet and elsewhere,
so whenever I do something that's actually stupid, or perceived as stupid, not
only do I get whomped on here, but as it ripples out, I get to relive the
experience and re-argue the arguments, for *days*. I'm not complaining, I knew
the job was dangerous when I took it, just point out one facet of the situation
and thus my comment.

[ Summary: This poster wonders if the story the Shadow agents tell Sheridan
in "Z'Ha'Dum" is true. ]

What Sheridan is told, in that episode, by them, concerning their
motives, is absolutely true, certainly from their point of view.

Howdy, Joe;
Ah-ha! I knew it. But I thought it so obvious and silly that I kept my mouth
shut and told only one friend. I really didn't want to make a stab at it,
because I didn't think it answered all of the questions presented to us in the
show about how the Shadows and Vorlons acted toward one another. But I suppose
I may get more of that when I actually see the episode (thank Ghu for FedEx).
As I told that friend, the idea of struggle and of "survival of the fittest"
seemed to be present in quite a number of your stories, most obviously
"Geometry" and the Lumati in "Acts."
Question: Does the "explanation" in "Z'Ha'Dum" explain it all, or will there
still be unanswered questions about the Shadows and Vorlons into next year?
I suppose the Green Drazi guard in "The Geometry of Shadows" summed up the
geometry of Shadows (you dog, you) when he said, "Natural selection. Do not
interfere." I think the title of that episode is going to take on new meaning
now. :-)
Be seeing you,
-- Brent

Well, it sorta answers all the questions...it's hard to explain until
you've seen the episode and the ones that follow.
