[ Summary: On the topic of the creative people at Paramount possibly
guiding the initial development of DS9 based on the B5 notes left
in their possession, this Trek fan says, "This is a stupid rumor.
I watch both shows and ignoring the similarities of the genre
there are no other connections, plot wise or character wise." ]

Actually, this is not "a stupid rumor," in that Paramount did have the
material dating back well before DS9 was conceived. It's a rumor if it comes
from somebody outside. It's my show, I was there.

                                                                       jms

Joe,

Looks like you got the biggest room in the house for your B5 presentation. So
maybe they think that if the Grand Ballroom is big enough for the Hugos, it
should be big enough for JMS's People.

Or maybe not? <g>

Joe,

I take it you're aware that your scriptwriting book was reviewed
favorably in the latest issue of "Creative Screenwriting."

I meant to mention it last week when it came in the mail, but it slipped my
mind.

No, I didn't know the review was there...can you pass along the comments,
if they were brief? (If long, I'll go out and try to find a copy.)

WOW!

INTO THE FIRE IS THE BEST YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat down expecting a nice litttle space battle - NOT THIS!

My favourite scene of the whole show was Londo pressing the button to nuke the
Shadow Island on Centauri prime. - Mordens face - his voice!! HE GOT HIS JUST
DESERVES!!!!!!

And Vir - that was magic - standing there with his little fingers waggling at
Morden's head! - I laughed and I laughed!

So no more Shadows? No more Vorlons? No more First Ones?

And now we know what the 3rd Age of Mankind is!!!!!!!!!!!

Now back to B5 and lets see what the Psicorp are going to do without Morden and
their Shadow allies! EEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

Thankyou JMS. A splendid 50 munites of TV entertainment!

      Thanks...it's an amusing little entertainment....

Now (well, after a few episodes designed to provide a bit of a break) it
gets serious.

                                                                    jms

Fm: J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI

No, no plans to put B5 into book form; it was designed to be told for
TV, and that's where it should stay...and the sequel is still being negotiated.

                                                                       jms
