Joe,
I asked you recently if you were coming to the Worldcon in San Antonio and
you responded, in part, "I don't believe anyone from Worldcon in San
Antonio has approached me yet about being there or doing anything at the
con..."
I have since spoken to the organizers (LoneStarCon) of Worldcon who were
quite surprised and embarrassed because they had mailed you an invitation
quite a while ago. They apologize that it never arrived and have since
(they told me) sent you a personal invitation (via email for expediency)
with all the original information attached.
Can you tell us if you received it and if you plan to accept? I have
offered my services to LoneStarCon to do whatever I can to help get you set
up to speak in the Grand Ballroom, arrange for an autograph area, arrange
for your participation on a panel, etc., etc. (whatever it is you would
prefer/like to do).
Many of us are waiting with baited breath for your "yes". :-) Very few cons
come to this part of the country (south Texas) and we would deeply love an
opportunity to hear you speak.
Regards
Janet

Yes, the concom have been in touch with me, and it looks like we should be
able to work this out.
