I went to the site below which has info on the big Creation con in
Pasedena this weekend, and I was horrified at much of what I read
(hugely expensive, *$50* for autographs (may of which are pre-signed),
separate admissions for various entertainment, etc.) It really made me
appreciate all the more both the fan-run convention organizers for
Rebelcon and United Fan Con (the two cons I've been going to) and the
stars of B5 and Trek who appear at them. I hope B5 and its stars never
becomes so big that it/they succumb to a Creation-style greedfest.
If you want to see what I'm talking about, here's the URL:

Thank you for listening - I just had to get that rant out of my system.

Significantly, while the Pasadena con was asking $50 for autographs, over half
the B5 cast was at the Glendale Galleria today and yesterday (and me with them)
meeting the fans face to face and signing autographs and getting to see props
and other stuff...for free.
