I came across the week-old news story of the writer's suit against
networks today.
I don't doubt its true, but I wonder if you have any additional
insights.

It's a genuine problem. There's a major youth emphasis on TV writers, to the
point where some producers and Big Guns have said, point blank, that they won't
hire any writers over their mid-20s.
There's a huge dropoff in writers working after they hit their 40s; and
another, even larger drop after they hit 50.
