Been a fan of B5 since it barely got started - and followed through
all of the (nearly random) station changes...delays... etc...

Also being a long time Star Trek fan (note - that's 'Star Trek' no
'TNG' 'DS9' etc...), I found that in some ways B5 was more Trek like
than Trek. That is, more adventurous and entertaining than much of
the more recent Trek.

Now, that being said, what brings me here?

Well - the now verified (from the horse's mouth, so to speak) fact
that JMS WAS approached on the possibility of taking the reins of Star
Trek: Enterprise (and wisely turned that down - gag, hack, hack)- I
have now heard that he and Bryce Zabel (Dark Skies) had submitted a
series idea for Star Trek (I assume for AFTER Enterprise collapses in
it's own mediocrity).

My curiousity is very much up - being as I have tried to submit ideas
to 'the power that be' at Paramount (Berman/Braga) and never recieved
so much as a note acknowledging the letters, let alone anything else.
I'm wondering if they came up with anything vaguely similar to what I
had in mind.

Hmmmm...

There's some misinterpretations of what I said going around...so let's address
them.

Nope. I said that Paramount approached me about coming on board as an EP, not
show-runner position. Berman and Braga would still have run the thing. I
didn't feel that I could function best in that arrangement.

As for the treatment Bryce and I wrote for another Trek series, as I said, we
wrote it on our own, NOT as an assignment from Paramount.

Just in the interests of accuracy.
