I just ran across this item that was posted yesterday on TV Guide's
website:

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Scary-Scoop-Writers/800023443

The gist of it is that people have been assuming that the WGA wouldn't
walk until the SAG contract expires next spring, but the WGA has just
asked its members for strike authorization--and their contract expires
on November 1.
