Hi Joe,

r.a.s.t.b5m newbie here.

I've scoured all web resources AND "Asked & Answered" but still have a nagging question...

Like you, I've spent my formative years growing up in suburban NJ (still live here, sorry to say).
In fact, I'm probably the same age as you!!!

Planet Patrol was one of my favs as a kid.  I remember anxiously waiting for it to air (WNEW, WPIX or WWOR, can't remember the TV station).
I know it was a puppet show, but hey, we all have embarrassing childhood memories that are hard to own up to.

Anyway, when I saw the tube shuttles on Mars (in B5), I said to myself:
"Damn! Those look like the tube shuttles from Planet Patrol"

Now the question:
Were the tube shuttles an homage to Planet Patrol (conscious or unconscious) on your part?
