[Hotstorage-chairs] HotStorage: scope inquiry for an experimental filesystem research project

Hi HotStorage chairs,

I found the 2026 CfP’s emphasis on early working systems, open
questions and counterintuitive findings. I know that cycle has
concluded; could you advise on the appropriate contact and format for
discussing suitability for a future edition?

I maintain MoobFS at StudioMoob in Brazil. It is an experimental
native Linux stacked filesystem with ordinary files, typed xattrs and
permission-domain metadata queries. The research question concerns
tradeoffs among authorization, query completeness, metadata
consistency and operational costs compared with alternatives under
equivalent access policies.

We have a FreeIPA/SSSD pilot and a bounded local paired comparison
with a SQLite side-index adapter. Findings include a multi-author
completeness limit, cached group membership and query results favoring
SQL. Novelty is still under investigation. Development, testing,
analysis and writing are AI-assisted, and the kernel code lacks a
complete independent human review.

Would an evidence-backed discussion of this design question fit the
workshop’s early-stage research scope, subject to its normal review?
Are there specific policies on AI-assisted artifacts and writing that
we should account for when preparing a future submission? This is a
scope inquiry, not a paper submission.

Thanks,
Claudio — StudioMoob
