[Hotstorage-chairs] Interested in serving as PC Reviewer in HotStorage '27

[Hemant Sethi]

Dear Dr. Choi and Dr. Kim,

I'm writing to express interest in serving as a reviewer or program
committee member for HotStorage '27. I understand you both chaired
HotStorage '26, but I would appreciate any guidance on how to nominate for
next year's committee.

I'm a Staff Software Engineer on the Storage team at Crusoe (AI
infrastructure/GPU cloud), where I work on S3-compatible object storage,
distributed block and file systems, and storage benchmarking for AI
training and inference workloads. Previously at AWS, I led the
re-architecture of the Dynamic Partitioning system for Kinesis Data
Firehose.

I've served on the AEC for FAST '27, NSDI '27, EuroSys '27, ATC '26, CGO
'27, and SIGCOMM '26 over the past year.

My current work closely aligns with HotStorage's focus: I'm developing
evaluation methodologies that go beyond throughput-focused benchmarks like
MLPerf Storage and DLIO to capture checkpoint I/O burstiness, metadata
scalability, and S3 API compatibility edge cases. Separately, I am
exploring RDMA-based object storage and tier-0 caching to reduce checkpoint
latency for GPU training.
