Objet : RE: question about remote presentations

Dear Jalil,

sorry to hear some of the presenters cannot join us in person!

Regarding sound - Your AV package support onsite presentations only. If you can use your own notebook/remote software (Zoom, Teams, Webex), you are ready to present the speaker on the screen and send his voice to the speakers. But we cannot connect the signal from the microphone back to him. To secure this feature, we would need to add the sound card for 18 EUR incl. VAT/day.

Regarding the video - If the speaker shall see in the room, to watch the audience for more interactive feeling, we can install camera to the room, aiming it to the audience. That way, the extra cost would be 251 EUR incl. VAT / day. Shall I add that?

Regarding the internet connection – unguaranteed hotels wi-fi should support remote call, but to be on a safe side, hardwired connection is always better. For simple zoom meet 20Mbps shall be enough, that would be +363 EUR incl. VAT / day.

Last, but not least, I owe you the name of the onsite technician. Whole SOSP event shall be managed by my colleague Jakub:

Dear Pavla,
I hope you are doing great.
We have one author who cannot present in person. Does the current AV system easily support remote presentations ? are there any constraints regarding this issue ?
Kind regards
Jalil
