[Hotstorage-organizers] Registration fees

Dear Mohammad,
Today, we received a clarification e-mail from SOSP about workshop registration. Contrary to what I had shared with you, SOSP has stated that even workshop papers must be covered by at least one "full" registration. They have also updated their website to say that "full" means non-student registration.
I apologize on behalf of SOSP for this confusion. If you are the only author who will attend the workshop and have already registered as a student, you may need to reach out to ACM (or cvent) to update the registration.
Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Mohammad,
That statement is for SOSP. You may choose to register for the workshop only.

Dear Bryan,
Thank you very much for your quick response! I am a PhD student and have just filled in my details as an ACM student member.
According to the SOSP website (https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fsigops.org%2fs%2fconferences%2fsosp%2f2026%2findex.html%23registration&c=E,1,LGvxrZVnbbF_5ICdmQqts9xfjpqHSFtvLX0iYl_tPoGS7sO02YG5GL4lHXGQcfvFIWaQeeKgKQLo3ceJxaISyUqb6qfLI-52dQYI4jNGd2vSbdIt&typo=1), "for each accepted paper, at least one author must have a full registration". My question is therefore what full registration entails (professional?), and whether this also applies to workshops.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Mohammad Rizk

Dear Mohammad,
There are two dimensions to consider: (1) whether or not you are an ACM member and (2) whether or not you are a student.
If you are an ACM member, you would have a membership number, which you would enter during registration. If you are an ACM student member, you would provide proof that you are a student on your membership page. If you are not an ACM member, you wouldn't have an ACM membership number to enter. In short, you are not required to register as an ACM professional member. This depends on your ACM membership status.
What I describe above is based on what I remember from when I was a student. If you have any issues with ACM membership, you should directly reach out to ACM.

Dear HotStorage Organizing Committee,
I hope you are doing well.
My paper, "Asclepius: Duplication and Heterogeneity-Aware Data Repair in Erasure-Coded Storage Systems," has been accepted to HotStorage, and I have a question regarding the registration.
As a PhD student, am I eligible to register as an ACM Student Member, or am I required to register as an ACM Professional Member?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Mohammad Rizk
