[LUGSB] elusive menus

I just booted into RedHat 7.3 and the menubar in gnome isn't showing up
anymore. I'm fairly certain that I didn't change anything last time I used
it, and it worked perfectly last time. Its all very strange. Anyone have any
ideas as to what could cause this?
