So, I went to compusa today and I bought a bunch of cd labels and some 
paper cd sleeves.  Besides the fact that they didn't have the real cheap 
cd labels that I wanted, everything went fine.  However, while I was at 
compusa a microsoft representative was there demonstrating their new 
'smart display technology' [1].  She started talking to me about it and 
telling me a bunch of stuff.  Then, she gave me a free pair of 
headphones, and pretty decent ones at that.  They say microsoft smart 
display on the sides of them and stuff.  Part of me feels bad because I 
took the headphones that she was giving me knowing full well that I'm 
likely to never buy another microsoft product again.  But, the irony is 
overwhelming.  I was there to buy stuff for the linux users' group that 
I'm a part of, and I got a free pair of headphones from microsoft.
