[LUGSB] read only file system

wassup everyone..i have my laptop partitioned with redhat on ext3 and win
xp on vfat filesystem. THe problem is whenever i try copy/write files onto
my windows partition from redhat, i get this error message stating that my
vfat is a read only file system....i have the exact same setup on my
workstation, but i don't have that problem.
Are there any ways to get around this or is there a way to change a file
system from being read-only?
