[LUGSB] read only file system

It might be helpful for you to post the contents of your '/etc/fstab'
file to the list. This file tells the system which paritions to mount
where at boot-time. There is an option that would fix this called 'uid'
that sets permissions when the partition is mounted. Hopefully looking
at /etc/fstab will help.
