LUGSB will be present at the Student Involvement Fair in the SAC on
Wednesday, February 5th from 12:00-3:00. The involvement fair is a
great place to introduce people to linux and just get the word out about
linux and lugsb. We'll have our own table amongst a sea of other clubs.
I'll be bringing my computer down so we'll be able to show off some of
the things that linux is doing. I have a CD burner so we'll be able to
burn copies of knoppix, mandrake, red hat or whatever we would want to
hand out. I think that handing out copies of knoppix and perhaps a
windows 'free software' CD is a good idea. If anyone comes to the table
wanting a copy of mandrake or redhat or any other distro we could direct
them to the computer corner (CDs are $.89) and then we'll burn the CDs
for them. My only concern is getting electricity to the table. I'm
sure they would let us use an outlet, but I think we might need an
extension cord which unfortunately I don't have. I'll be bringing my
power strip, but if someone else could bring an extension cord that
would be great. So remember...

Wednesday February 5th (that's this wednesday)
12:00pm-3:00pm in the SAC

Later,
Mark.
