Hey everyone,
Quick question and some comments...I have had Red Hat installed for
quite a while now, and everything works fine, except for one little pesky thing
(and my soundcard of course)...when I log into gnome, I get a message reading
along the lines of "DHCP Server Error: Internet address not found: This may
cause Gnome to operate incorrectly". When I click "Log in anyway", I get
logged in, and all is fine and seemingly works well, including my internet
connection. Anybody know what this could be? I am almost certain it has to be
something obviously with my network config, but I've looked over it a million
times, and all seems to be normal.
The bad news is I won't be able to make it to this week's meeting, which
pisses me off because the whole wireless thing is something I am interested in and
need some serious brushing up with, since I'm not too familiar with it. I
have to attend a bachelor party for which I am in the wedding party....woe is
me...
Lastly, for anyone interested, I just got done reading Linus Torvalds'
auto-biography and it is pretty good. If anyone would like to borrow it, just let
me know and I can get it to you maybe at the next meeting. Take care.
Tom C.
