Does anyone know data streaming to one server to another one book that a
human being is able to comprehend?

I have bought a new hard drive last week to have
enough disk space for both Linux and Windows...[don't
shoot me]. However the BIOS in my system is not
detecting the hard drive. It freezes whenever it tries
to detect it. I've checked out its manufacturer
website at www.maxtor.com but their methods did not
help either. It might have been my motherboard since
it is a pretty old one. I tried using Maxtor's
formatting software but to no avail. Details are it
still froze during the hardware detection session. Any
advice on what I've missed or general information
about how BIOS, motherboard and the hardwares inside a
PC work with each other would help. :)

First thing to do is check if the hard drive is working. Put it in some
other PC and see what happens.

Sometimes large hard drives have been known to cause
probs with older motherboard. You could try upgrading
the BIOS version, cant say for sure it will help. Does
a smaller hard disk work?
Can you tell what method was given at maxtor?

Hey Everyone,
I wasn't able to make it to the last meeting, so I was wondering what
is going on with this week's LILUG at SUNY Farmingdale? Is anyone going? I
will be going...and it will be my first. I will be leaving right from Stony
Brook, because I have a class till 6:40. I have room in my car for probably 3
more people, so if you want a ride, just let me know and we can meet up...none
of you probably know me because I was only at the first meeting, but if you
don't care, I don't....Later
