A Social Robot?  It's like Kismet.

MIT is developing a humanoid robot that can socialize with people.  The
robot is named "Kismet".  The robot itself is a head that is capable of
recognizing and demonstrating various facial expressions.  Among its many
systems, the auditory system is running on LINUX.  At the bottom of this
