Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to Stony Brook. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer.
The world of linux has really been heating up. The linux operating
system as a whole has been making leaps and bounds in every corner of
the computing world from cell phones to large mainframes and from
back-room servers to secretaries' desktops. With all that is going on
in the open source world, we certainly don't plan on missing out on any
of the fun. It is to this end that I would like to start talking about
when we should have our first meeting of the semester. The one issue
is that I won't be available during the time we met last semester. I
have a job working with linux Monday, Wednesday and Friday. :o) So, the
best time to hold meetings for me would be Tuesday or Thursday
afternoons after 4pm. Hopefully we can find a time that is good for
everyone who would like to attend the meetings. So, reply to this mail
just saying if sometime after 4pm on Tuesday or Thursday is good for
you, so I can get an idea if it's going to work out. I look forward to
seeing everyone at the meeting.

Later,
Mark.
