[LUGSB] A Few Announcements

First things first, we need to decide on a meeting time. I'm leaning
towards the first and third Thursdays of the month. This is good for a
few reasons. Lilug has their meetings on the second Tuesday of the
month, and Liphp has their meetings on the last Monday of the month.
So, for those of us who like to attend a rediculous amount of User Group
meetings, we'll have something to do for every week out of the month,
without doubling up on any one week. Also, picking two firm weeks in
the month (first and third) is better than just saying every other week,
because you can just look at your calendar and know whether there is a
meeting or not. The problem lies in picking a good time. It gets even
more difficult because I had to sign up for yet another class, meaning
that the best time for me is after 5:10, say 5:30. Picking a meeting
time is very difficult because everyone has a different schedule. I am
confident that we'll nail something down, but Thursdays at 5:30 is
winning for the moment.
LUGSB will be attending the 'Club and Organization Performance and
Involvement Expo' on Wednesday, September 17th from 12-3pm in the SAC
Plaza. I strongly urge everyone to come down and sit at our table for a
bit. I'm going to print up some fliers and some more of John's
"Introduction to Linux" pamphlets. I'll bring my desktop down (dual
booting debian unstable and red had 9.0 with ximian desktop 2) and we'll
get to show some students what Linux is and why it rocks.
