[LUGSB] GNOME desktop weirdness

I also think it is the CORBA stuff that messes it up, though it really 
shouldn't.  My hostname changes because I DHCP a new IP address and a 
new hostname when I get on a new network.  I could probably put in a 
static hostname (if I knew how to).
