Just wanted to let everyone know that there will not be a meeting this week. I
told many people that we would try to have the meeting this week, but due to
some buracratic issues with the student activities people our club
registration was delayed and we were unable to secure a room for the meeting.
I am assured that this will all be taken care of by monday and I will post
another message as soon as we know when and where the first meeting will be.
I appreciate everyones patience while we sort all this stuff out.

After weeks of dealing with paperwork and Student Accounts, LUGSB is now registered as an official club in Stony Brook. The first meeting (which is approximately one month late) will most likely be next Thursday, provided that we won't have any trouble reserving a room. We were originally thinking of holding an Install-A-Thon so that those new to Linux would be able to receive some assistance in installing a distro on their machines, but considering most members are seasoned Linux users I thought I'd first e-mail the list to see if there are any newcomers who are interested in having Linux installed on their machines. If not, we'll just move on to our first presentation (courtesy of Dan Panzella), or maybe even hold the Install-A-Thon at a later time. Anyway, I apologize for all the problems and delays; I wasn't expecting so many curve balls from Stony Brook administration. I'll post to the list once again when we have a definite date and time for the first meeting. Until then.

Seems like some kind of problem with GLX, but I don't really know what
it is, or how to fix it. I am using Mandrake 10.1, 2.6.8.1 kernel, and
installed the latest nvidia drivers. X is working, but games are not.

I had Load "glx" commented out in my XF86Config file, but uncommenting
it did not change anything.

Here is some output from 3 programs:

[avishay at avishay avishay]$ armyops
