I take that to mean that OpenGL is not configured to run in X11 on your
system.
Did you install the video drivers (nVidia, ATI) and configure your X11
system to use the new OpenGL enhanced display drivers.
I know the nVidia drivers display the nVidia logo prior to the X11
desktop loading (if you have desktop). Don't know about the ATI ones,
haven't gotten around to installing them yet.
