Wednesday is fine, and so is the Computer Science building IMO since that seems to be everyone else's preference.

Right, but since we aren't officially a club yet I didn't wanna start asking
people to reserve rooms for us. Also, it wasn't intended for this to be a
formal meeting, just a chance to get together and perhaps discuss some
possible topics for the meetings this semester...anyway the Cafe was all that
came to mind for me, but the CS lobby is fine too. Wednesday seems to be the
good for everyone (or at least everyone who cared enough to post).

Just to let everyone know that we have a (temporary) treasurer. So hopefully
I can get all the club registration stuff done tomorrow or wednesday and then
I can reserve us a room and what not and we can begin having our normal
meetings.

We're holding an unofficial meeting today (Thursday), at the Comp Sci lobby at 7:00PM. There we'll be able to discuss the current status of LUGSB and other club-related issues. The first official meeting will most likely begin two weeks from now (as next week there will be a Club and Organizations Expo during Campus Lifetime). Anyway, come on down today at 7 if you have a chance.

Just to let everyoneknow , we will have a table at the club fair today
(Wednesday 9/29). So, I would appreciate anyone who could come down and help
man the table for any amount of time. And anyone who is new to the group
should stop by and talk to us and let us know what kind of things your hoping
for from us and make some suggestions for thing we can do this year.

The fair is supposed to be at the SAC plaza, but i guess if it keeps raining
then it will be inside somewhere, from 11:30AM till 3:00PM i think. I will
be there that whole time, and so will Renan and Nick I believe.

Hi,

A friend of mine is having problems with IDE disks. The computer has two
IDE disks on one controller. No matter what master/slave configuration I
choose, both the drives are not detected at the same time. The computer
was working fine until one of the drives went bad and was replaced with an
identical new drive. Could this be a problem with the controller, the
IDE cable, or maybe some kind of configuration that I am getting wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Akshat

P.S.: Sorry for posting a non-Linux query on LUGSB, but I figured that
there are plenty of people who have more experience dealing with hardware
than I do.
