We had a short conversation at the meeting last night about Unicode and
all of the weird things it does to make characters make sense. I always
felt completely in the dark when it came to Unicode and character
encodings. This blog posting explains it pretty well. It's also
probably the most entertaining article ever written about Unicode. I
highly recommend it to anyone that writes software. It's titled, "The
Absolute Minimum Every Software Developer Absolutely, Positively Must
Know About Unicode and Character Sets (No Excuses!)".
