Hey Everyone,
I work for a company called Bascom [www.bascom.com], we make a linux-
based product called the Global Chalkboard that, along with many other
things, filters web content for schools. We're looking for an intern.
Basically, the position would be 12-20 hours over the course of two or 3
days a week.
Types of things you will be doing:
PHP coding (using our internal library, based on PEAR packages)
Software Testing and debugging
Perl coding
Some Linux administration/configuration
Requirements are PHP coding experience and Linux skills. Perl would be
helpful, along with networking experience, and graphic design skills,
although these are not required.
Make no mistake, this is a programming position, but it is likely that
you'll get caught up in other aspects of the life-cycle as that is the
nature of the beast.
Please send all resumes to linuxjobs at bascom.com. Please make the
subject of your email "Linux internship [Your Name]". No phone calls
please.
Thanks,
Mark
