There isn't to the best of my knowledge. I registered from my roommates
computer which runs Windows on it, and then connected the cablemodem to
my router (which is an old PC running linux). The registration links
some kind of cablemodem ID to your account in their database, not a MAC
address. Of course, this is connecting the modem via ethernet rather
than USB... maybe things are different with USB.
I've had to switch off the cablemodem and switch it back on though
whenever I connected it to a different computer. Simply pushing the
"standby" button is not enough, I've actually had to disconnect the
power cable.
