[LUGSB] Audio recording software

Hey all,

I came across an old cassette that I would love
to get onto a CD. So I ordered some cables that
will allow me to put my stereo into the sound
card, and am now trying to find some open source
software that can create wav files from the
tape (or one big wav file).

I downloaded audacity, but it gets segment faults
trying to do just about anything.

Suggestions?
