fstab:
/dev/hda1 /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 1
/dev/hda3 / reiserfs noatime 0 0
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,ro,user 0 0
/dev/hda4 /mnt/extra reiserfs noatime 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

To remove, I usually just use "rm <filename>" | "rm -f <directory>",
though I sometimes use Gnome instead. I wasn't aware of a more fully
featured deletion command. Nautilus usually plays well with rm, too, I
find, quickly updating to display the correct contents of the directory
in question.
