Speaking of rsync and backups, I heard a talk this past summer at IBM
from a guy who has an open-source start-up company.  One of the services
that they provide is backups using rsync.  The problem that they faced
is that the client data should be encrypted, but usually if you
re-encrypt a file after making a minor change, the entire file will
change, and you will have a lot of data to send.  Their open-source
solution to this problem is called rsyncrypto.  Here is a presentation
