Please share the following with your students who may be interested in
attending this Friday:

On Friday, March 28, 2008 at 12 noon in Room 102 of the Light Engineering
Building, representatives from the American Society for Engineering
Education (ASEE) will present information on their many scholarship and
fellowship opportunities.

ASEE has the goal of promoting and administering various
research-oriented fellowships for undergraduate and graduate students in
the STEM fields. Please visit their fellowship home page to see a
complete list of the fellowships they administer
http://www.asee.org/fellowships/index.cfm In total, they handle about
14,000 applications per year, resulting in about 1,800 awardees receiving
more than $60,000,000 of support annually.

In addition to providing guidance for submitting successful applications
for award funding, they will highlight information about the National
Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) and a
number of other prestigious programs. To view and download information
concerning the NSF-GRFP, please visit the following site
http://www.nsfgradfellows.org/

Refreshments will be served and space is limited - to reserve your spot,
please RSVP to jdellaposta at stonybrook.edu. Students should bring their
current resume or cv to this presentation!
