Well, if it was Hans, it's not like he accidentally bumped into her
with his car or something, so it can't be manslaughter. While the
Sean Sturgeon is definitely someone that should've been brought into
the case, it's possible there's some additional (sealed) confession or
evidence that goes along with this. that would preclude him from being
the suspect. /shrug
In either case, it's hard to discount reiser's scrubbed-down car that
he abandoned to hide from the authorities, nina's abandoned car found
not far from reiser's homse, the totally discarded (not just removed
and stowed in his house) passenger seat in reiser's 2-seater mini car,
nina's blood splattered in reiser's house, and the sleeping bag cover
(missing a sleeping bag) in his car with both of their blood on it.
Oh and the two books found in his car on police criminal
investigations doesn't help either.
If it was a comedy of errors and he really didn't do it, Reiser's not
the brightest of bulbs for hiding his own car from authorities, not
throwing away the books on criminal investigations, hosing the
interior of his car down and not drying it, and throwing away the
passenger seat in a 2-seater in some random dumpster without a good
reason.
Not making a positive judgement on this, as there's no absolutely
conclusive evidence here, but it certainly doesn't give a lot of
credulity to Hans' claiming innocence.
