Ndiswrapper does not work very often.  Try to find a generic driver  
for your card by looking it up in the Ubuntu forums.  If there isn't a  
driver, wait a bit for 8.10, which may have drivers for your card  
nicely built in.  Otherwise, give Ndiswrapper a try.  Also, use a  
program called Envy to get 3D graphics working.
