Hi, all,
New members on the list: welcome! I enjoyed speaking to all of you at
the involvement fair! Our next meeting is this Tuesday, on a fairly
technical topic, but after the presentation, I've set aside some time
for general Linux Q&A. If you have any questions, please bring them!
The meeting is this Tuesday, February 24th, at 5:30 PM, in room 1441
of the Computer Science building. (Upon entering the lobby on the
Javits side, take a left into the office area, then proceed down the
corridor on the right.)
The presentation will be given by our Secretary, Michael Florea; the
presentation is titled "Securing SSH with IPTables". Afterwards,
starting around 6:00, We will be able to answer any questions you
might have, as well as help with installation, configuration, etc.
I'll also bring along some CDs to give away/demonstrate with.
I've also been a bit lax in putting up flyers for this meeting, but I
still wanted to get some more up at least tomorrow. If you have some
spare time and quota, please print out the following PDF, and tape it
to any visible location. As always, please avoid doors and windows,
and distance flyers appropriately. I'll be able to put some up
myself, but covering other buildings is good too. Thanks!
