Hi everyone,

I'd like to point you all to the supercomputing cluster challenge,
2010. The email I've forwarded was just sent to me, and should
interest many of you.

The competition is a great deal of fun, an incredible learning
experience, and gets you to the largest computer conference in the
world. It is a difficult competition, but well worth it.

Last year we sent a team to this competition and won! We worked with
Dell, AMD, and Mellanox, who I know would like to work with Stony
Brook on this again.

It would be nice to see a Stony Brook team at SC10.

(See press releases about 2009 at:

http://www.bnl.gov/today/story.asp?ITEM_NO=1546 )

Anyone interested?
Sincerely,
Aaron

Hello supporters and advisors of the SC10 SCC!

I wanted you all to be the first to know that team submissions for the
SC10 Student Cluster Competition have officially  opened today.  Also,
the majority of the web content (sans the specific applications we’re
using) is up at

http://sc10.supercomputing.org/?pg=studentcluster.html

and our 1 page flyer describing the competition is attached.

We (myself, Tiki & Doug) were also fortunate to be interviewed by the
RCE-podcast to explain competition details which can be heard at
http://www.rce-cast.com/index.php/Podcast/rce-25-student-cluster-competition.html.

I’m really excited about this year’s competition but need your help to
get the word out to teams and vendors.  We will have an official press
release out shortly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Tiki or myself.

Hai Ah
