I did write up a quite thorough [1] how to and I did at one point ask the DoIT 
people to link to it, they did at first appear welcoming but in the end nothing 
happened. I also at one point gave a talk on AirNet at lugsb, the slides are 
online [2].

Please note I have not tested details in a while so there could be some minor 
changes, please let me know and I'll update it. Also this how-to is quite low 
level and does not take into account network manager or what ever bells and 
whistles people use now a days. On the other hand its quite OS neutral I've 
heard back from Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo users (where are the yum/rpm folks?).
