Hey everyone,
Next LUGSB we'll be talking about the functional programming language
Haskell. It'll take place March 21, 2011, in CS 2120 at 7:00pm.
Functional programming provides a different (and sometimes
mind-bending) way of organizing programs than OOP-based languages like
Java and C++. This is a tour of Haskell's unique features, including
its purity, lazy semantics, and cutting-edge type system, and why
these are useful in the real world.
