Hi everyone,
LUGSB will be meeting later today, Monday the 19th of September, at
7:00PM in CS 2311 (the Wireless Seminar room).
One of the great advantages of Unix is how complex tasks can be easy
with the right combination of tools. The flip side is that there's a
learning curve for using shells (both command-line and scripts) to
combine these tools, including knowing that some useful programs
exist. This will be an open-ended introduction to setting up and using
a command-line environment with Bash, and afterwards we can look at
other slightly cooler shells.
See you there,
Matt
