Eeeek...it is what I thought it was. I'm going to backport the fix from
CVS to 1.1.3 and make a new release probably tomorrow.

As for your box, reboot would be the healthy thing to do. But before you
reboot, try to build a kernel with module unloading. Of course you might
want to wait for the fixed version of unionfs to get released.
