Joe,
There appears to be a persistent hiccup in the personal "Babcom" panel. I've
tried Netscape 2.01 and 3.00 plus MSIE 3.0 and they all react pretty much the
same.
There's a graphic in the lower left area of the panel that never gets
displayed. This causes the top portion of the Babcom controls to be shifted to
the left.
I can provide more details if desired.

That's odd, since it doesn't happen when I checked it out a little bit
ago...will check again.

I think you're confusing several groups there. The Quakers (Society of
Friends) don't have any problem with travel. Nor do the Mennonites (who are
often seen at airports both in America and in Britain - the black coats, hats
and beards make them difficult to miss). The only ones I know of those
societies who dislike travel are the Amish.
But even without leaving Earth, it would not be unreasonable for members of
those and other pacifist organisations to be involved in peace-making. Or have
they been forcibly supressed by EarthGov?

Yeah...ten minutes after I sent the message I did a Simpson "D'oh!" and
realized I was talking about the Amish. Ah, well...we're all entitled to one
screw-up...

Debbie,
Just out of curiousity, how long ago did you get the newsletter? vs. last week
receiving the kit?
I'm not trying to say people aren't working to fill the backlog, but I will say
its becoming very inconsiderate that they can't find the time to make some
public comment about the status of the orders (at least in general), and I've
seen software companies make public apologies over lesser delays when they've
gone ahead and "cashed the checks" (or in that case, put charges through on
people's credit cards), so I don't think its out of line to expect something...

Jim has sent a public response to the Usenet about the delay, and the
Zocalo has also published a letter from him about it. In addition, I've gone
at some length here about what's been going on. You may not have seen them,
but there have been public replies. The email list is too hideously huge to
reply to individually. But stacks and stacks are going out the door as fast as
can be.

Rae,
Actually it's "...I'll show you my Dupa."
That generally generates a bigger response. <g>

"I'll show you my Dupa."
And the fifteen people on CIS who know Polish found this extremely funny.

"Roddenberry was an athiest and very anti-religious."
And therein lay the key. One can be an atheist for oneself, and not
anti-religious when it comes to others. The two need not go hand in hand.
