I've noticed that psionic effects in the B5 universe work fairly
consistently with the way that mental powers work in Hero System (a minor
but very flexible role-playing game system). Specifically, mental powers
require the user to directly see the target. Also, a Psi Cop's ability to
sense the minds of others nearby strongly resembles a power called Mind
Scan.

So, Joe, are you familiar with the Hero System (aka Champions), and are
you basing B5's "psi" on it?

No, I've never read the Hero system, and have no idea what it contains.
